Getting started
Food Devils platforms & Steam Deck support
Food Devils currently lists Windows support on Steam. The main game is still Coming soon after its November 3 delay; the separate Demo is available. Native macOS and Linux support are not listed in either current product's platform fields.
Consoles are a developer intention after PC Early Access, with no confirmed console date or named supported model in the October AMA answer. Steam Deck performance is a separate compatibility question: Windows support or controller support alone does not establish a verified Deck experience.

Which version should you plan around?
| Your device | What is established | Useful decision |
|---|---|---|
| Windows PC | Both Steam listings declare Windows support. | Try the Demo; check the main game's actual availability before expecting Early Access. |
| Mac or Linux desktop | No native platform support listed. | Do not buy on the assumption of a native build. Compatibility-layer behaviour is unverified here. |
| Steam Deck | A June developer reply acknowledged missing optimization then; it is not a current benchmark. | Treat current compatibility and performance as unconfirmed. A future optimization plan does not establish that a fix shipped. |
| Console | October AMA describes a later-console intention conditional on PC Early Access. | Wait for a specific platform announcement; no Switch, PlayStation or Xbox date is confirmed by that answer. |
Read old Steam Deck reports in their actual context
A June player reported roughly 10–45 FPS in the then-current Demo. The developer replied on June 5 that the game was not optimized for Linux or Steam Deck at that point and put optimization in the pipeline for Early Access or later. Neither statement is a performance test of the expanded October Demo.
This page cannot promise an FPS target, compatibility-layer setting or universal controller fix. If you try the free Demo, keep the actual build, input method and affected scene with your report. A later player complaint about end-of-day controller menus is also a report, not proof that every controller or Deck is broken.
What the console answer does and does not promise
In the October 29 r/JRPG AMA, the developer told a player without a PC that the team intended to bring Food Devils to console if it survived PC Early Access. He also described his wish to play a game he designed on a Nintendo console.
That supports interest in a later console edition. It does not identify a particular Nintendo model, certify a port, set a release date or make the delayed PC launch a simultaneous console release. Keep the official announcement feed as the next source for a concrete platform commitment.
You can make a platform decision when…
You have separated the currently listed Windows Demo, the delayed main game, an unverified Deck experience and future console plans. Wait for platform-specific confirmation where it is missing rather than treating an aspiration or an old FPS report as a current specification.
