Getting started
Food Devils release delay: what can you play?
Food Devils did not launch into Early Access on its planned November 3 date. In that day's announcement, director Alfred Kamon said the submitted build was still awaiting Steam approval. The current main-game store lists Coming soon; no replacement date is confirmed.
The Windows Demo is a separate available product. Use it while waiting, rather than treating a Demo installation or an old release-date listing as the full Early Access game.

Choose the product you can actually play
| Product | November 3 check | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| Food Devils main game | Coming soon; planned Early Access launch delayed | Follow the official store announcements for a confirmed new date. |
| Food Devils Demo | Separate Windows Demo, AppID 4690190 | Open the official Demo listing and check that Steam names the installed product Food Devils Demo. |
The main game's AppID is 2861730. Keep the two product names distinct when looking for updates or reporting a problem.
Why a date on another page is not a release confirmation
Our November 3 check found SteamDB still showing the originally scheduled November 3 release timestamp, with a last record update on November 2. That conflicts with the newer delay announcement and the current store's Coming soon status. It is an outdated schedule signal, not evidence that you can buy or launch Early Access.
The developer expressed hope for a release by the end of the week but explicitly made no promise. Do not turn that hope into a new release date. The explanation about approval is the developer's account; this guide cannot independently inspect Valve's internal review queue.
Waiting does not require deleting your Demo save
The delay announcement does not instruct players to restart. The developer's separate October Demo announcement says those saves will be compatible with Early Access; the June Demo saves are incompatible with the expanded October Demo. That is a dated compatibility promise, not a transfer tested in this session.
Identify your Demo generation and its save policy before changing files. If the issue is simply losing an expedition, continue the story after the loss; it is a different problem from product availability.
You have the correct next step when…
You know whether Steam is offering the Demo or the unreleased main game, have kept your wanted save, and are waiting for an actual new announcement rather than an expired countdown. If the store later changes, check that newer official announcement before applying this dated status.
Sources & version
November 3 official delay announcement supplies the director's explanation and absence of a promised date. The main-game store and Demo listing were checked separately. October Demo announcement supplies the save promise. SteamDB is the conflicting older schedule, not proof of availability.
